Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team and support educational institutions in Luton. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the learning experience for students by providing support to teachers and facilitating the academic and social development of pupils.
Key Responsibilities:
- Classroom Support: Assist teachers in delivering lessons by providing one-on-one or small group support to students.
- Individualized Learning: Support students with special educational needs, adapting teaching materials and strategies as necessary.
- Behavior Management: Assist in maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment by managing student behavior and addressing any issues promptly.
- Resource Preparation: Prepare and organize teaching materials, resources, and equipment for lessons.
- Assessment Support: Assist in the assessment and feedback process, providing valuable insights into student progress.
- Communication: Foster positive communication with teachers, students, and parents to ensure a collaborative and supportive educational environment.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of student progress, behavior, and any other relevant information.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 6 months of experience working as a Teaching Assistant in the UK education system.
- Relevant qualifications in education or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting student development.
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies.
