Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Cover Supervisor to join our vibrant team, supporting schools across Luton. This role is pivotal in maintaining continuity of education, providing students with a stable learning environment in the absence of their regular teachers. Ideal candidates will possess a strong understanding of classroom management techniques, a flexible approach to teaching various subjects, and a genuine passion for making a difference in students' academic lives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lesson Supervision: Oversee the classroom in the absence of the subject teacher, ensuring that pre-prepared lesson plans are delivered effectively.
• Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and conducive learning environment, implementing classroom management strategies to engage students and promote respectful behavior.
• Educational Support: Assist students in understanding lesson material, answering questions, and fostering an environment that encourages learning and curiosity.
• Administrative Duties: Take attendance, prepare classrooms for lessons, and perform any other administrative tasks as required to support the educational process.
• Feedback Provision: Provide feedback to regular teaching staff on lessons delivered, student engagement, and any incidents that occurred.

Qualifications and Skills:

• A minimum of 6 months experience working within the UK education sector.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students of varying ages and abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and parents.
• Flexibility to cover various subjects and adapt to different classroom settings.
• A proactive, patient, and resilient approach to handling challenging situations.
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo this check).
