We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistants to join a wonderful SEND school in Gravesend, Kent, starting in September.
Have you got experience working with SEND students, either on a 1-1 basis or are you a care provider? You don’t need to hold a qualification; you just need to have the right attitude and approach in wanting to support students with special educational needs.

This school is a Foundation co-educational school for pupils aged 4 to 19 years of age with Profound, Severe and Complex learning needs, including Communication and Interaction difficulties. The majority of the students have learning difficulties associated with Autism, Speech, Language and Communication. In addition, some students have complex medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
-Provide support and assistance to students with special educational needs and disabilities in the classroom.
-Work closely with teachers and other staff members to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and support strategies.
-Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued and supported.
-Assist with personal care needs and promote independence and self-confidence among students.
-Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to the teaching team as necessary.

Requirements:
-Experience working one-on-one with children or individuals with special needs is highly desirable.
-A background in care or a related field is advantageous.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children with SEND.
-Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when necessary.
-A commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion within the school community.
