Primary ABA Tutors needed

Prospero Teaching are actively seeking dedicated and experienced ABA Tutors for primary school pupils with autism or Down syndrome.

Required: ABA Tutor

Role Requirements:

  • Demonstrated patience, empathy, and a caring demeanour
  • Effective communication skills tailored for children with learning challenges
  • Understanding of ABA principles and methodologies
  • We seek tutors equipped with appropriate materials and strategies to accommodate diverse learning abilities.


Position Details:

  • Full-time hours: 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM
  • Pay: £18,000 - £21,000 (negotiable for qualified teachers)

Pupil Information:

  • All pupils are non-verbal primary school students with autism or Down syndrome.


Duties of an ABA Tutor Include:

  • Designing and implementing individualised ABA programmes
  • Conducting assessments and monitoring progress
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to adapt intervention plans
  • Providing classroom and one-on-one tutoring support

Responsibilities in a SEN School Setting:

  • Catering to diverse needs in a primary school setting
  • Upholding dignity and respect for students with ASD
  • Facilitating age-appropriate skill development
  • Addressing additional disabilities, such as epilepsy

  • Committed to comprehensive education and support for children with special needs, the school admits students from Reception Year to Year 11. Primarily funded by Local Authorities, students have varying communication abilities and additional disabilities.
