Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Year 6 Primary School Teacher to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and innovative lessons that align with the national curriculum, effectively preparing our Year 6 students for their SATs exams and the transition to secondary school. The ideal candidate will possess strong classroom management skills, a thorough understanding of child development, and the ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the national curriculum objectives for Year 6 students.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes academic excellence and personal growth.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and parents to ensure the holistic well-being of students.
  • Prepare students for SATs exams and facilitate a smooth transition to secondary school.
  • Implement effective behavior management strategies to maintain a positive and productive classroom environment.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant teaching experience in a primary school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment procedures for Year 6 students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • A passion for teaching and a commitment to promoting the holistic development of students.
  • Resilience, adaptability, and a positive attitude towards challenges and professional growth.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
