Protocol Education are working with a thriving Secondary School in South Gloucestershire who is looking to appoint a Maths Teacher for mid term 5 and then a permanent opportunity to be filled.

The school is on an easy public transport route and has access to plenty of parking. The building has a modern feel to it and has been developed into an academy, joining with many other local schools and under a well established trust which offers excellent progression, CPD, ethos & values that are inclusive and inspiring to all, whether an ECT or experienced teacher.

Your role as a Maths Teacher within the school's busy Maths department will include;

  • Working closely with the maths department to ensure the maths curriculum is delivered to a high standard, inline with the school's aspirations and goals for their exemplary exam results
  • Delivering to KS3 & KS4 across all year groups
  • Planning, marking and assessment
  • Knowledge of AQA exam board and leader wiithin GCSE's
  • Confident in supporting pupils with SEND and how to support and differentiate within the mainstream classroom
  • Leading own regular tutor group
  • An advocate and inspiriational leader in Mathematics
  • Excellent behaviour and classroom management, ensuring a constructive and positive environment is always enforced.
  • De-escalating situations within the classroom in the correct way certifying safeguarding procedures are always adhered, in line with school's behaviour policy
  • Extra Curricular opportunities and school community opportunities if desired

Start date: Monday 29th April (Closing date Monday 15th April at midday)

Hours: 830am - 330pm, term time only

Location: South Gloucestershire

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
