Primary Teacher (Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2)

Are you a dynamic and flexible cover teacher ready to make a difference in the lives of young learners? Our vibrant primary school in Sudbury is seeking a dedicated Primary Teacher to join our team and support students across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

The Role:

As a Primary Teacher, you will play a vital role in maintaining continuity of learning by delivering engaging and effective lessons to students in the absence of their regular classroom teacher. This position offers a unique opportunity to work with students across different year groups, allowing you to gain valuable experience and make a positive impact on a diverse range of learners.

Primary Teacher Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering pre-prepared lessons according to the school's curriculum and guidelines to students in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
  • Maintaining a positive and supportive learning environment conducive to student engagement and participation.
  • Providing constructive feedback to students and reporting on their progress to the regular classroom teacher.
  • Managing classroom behavior and ensuring adherence to school policies and procedures.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to ensure continuity of learning and effective communication with students, parents, and staff members.

Primary Teacher Requirements

  • Experience working with primary school students in Key Stage 1 and/or Key Stage 2.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work across different year groups and subjects.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for education and a commitment to fostering a love of learning in young children.
