TEACHING ASSISTANT ROLES!

Teaching Personnel may be looking for you! Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant or have experience working with children or young people in any capacity?

Location: Chichester

Contract Type: Temporary - with the option to go permanent. 

Hours: Full-time, Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child with special educational needs in KS1. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and the SENCO to provide tailored support to meet the needs of the child.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing 1:1 support to the child with SEN, including academic and pastoral support
  • Assisting the class teacher in preparing resources and adapting materials to support the child's learning
  • Implementing strategies and interventions recommended by the SENCO and other professionals
  • Tracking progress and providing feedback to the class teacher and SENCO
  • Supporting the child with social and emotional needs, including behaviour management
  • Liaising with parents and carers to provide regular updates on the child's progress
