SEND Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to children with SEND, ensuring they can access the curriculum and reach their full potential.
  • Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging and inclusive lessons tailored to the needs of SEND students.
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued and supported.

SEND Teaching Assistant Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEND is desirable but not essential.
  • A patient and compassionate demeanor with a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Flexibility, resilience, and the ability to adapt to the varying needs and challenges of working in a primary school setting.
