Job Duties:
  • Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons for Key Stage 1 students
  • Assisting with classroom management and maintaining a positive learning environment
  • Providing one-to-one support for students with special educational needs
  • Helping to prepare and organise educational materials and resources
  • Supervising children during break times and off-site activities
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths
  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
Education:

Secondary education or equivalent

Experience:

Prior experience working with children in an educational setting is desirable

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Patience and empathy when working with children
Preferred Qualifications:
  • First Aid certification
  • Safeguarding training
Working Conditions:

This role involves working part-time hours within a school setting, following the school term calendar. The Teaching Assistant may need to assist with off-site activities and occasional events outside normal school hours.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
