Job Title: Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant

Location: Caterham, Surrey

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated Special Educational Needs school located in Caterham, Surrey. The School caters to students with Autism, Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD), and complex needs.

The School are seeking an enthusiastic Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to start as soon as possible. You will work closely with Teachers and other support staff to create a positive learning environment for students with Autism, PMLD and complex needs. Your role will involve providing one-to-one support, assisting with classroom activities, and contributing to the overall well-being and development of students.

This is a full-time, long term position with a view to going permanent. The hours are from 9am-3.30pm and the salary will be negotiable depending on skills and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-to-one support for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
• Collaborate with Teachers to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Support students with personal care, as required.
• Run engaging activities for the students
• Promote independence

Requirements:

• Experience working with students with Autism, PMLD, or complex needs is essential.
• Relevant qualifications or training in Special Education or a related field.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.
