Annual Salary: MPS/UPS inner London (£36,811 - £57,018 per annum) + TLR 2b (£6,320)

Contract: Permanent, full-time

Aston Education is working with an 11-18 secondary school in Southwark, Southeast London (inner London), looking for a permanent Head of History to start in September 2024.

The successful applicant with QTS/QTLS will have strategic oversight of KS3, KS4 and KS5 History and will be able to teach History to all key stages. You’ll have an understanding of what makes excellent quality of education within History (intent, implementation and impact).

Their outcomes in History are already strong and have been recognised as an area of excellence. The successful candidate will plan and deliver outstanding lessons and inspire students and staff.

The post offers an opportunity for the post holder to be working towards becoming a future Head of Humanities.

The History department is well-resourced, and the school has state-of-the-art facilities and excellent transport links on zone 1.

The school has not been inspected by Ofsted yet.
