Game Art and Development Teacher

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced candidate to join our Media Department as a Teacher, specialising in Game Art, Design and Development, on a permanent, full time (35 hours per week) basis.
As a Game Art Teacher you will plan, lead, and develop an exciting curriculum for your subject area, ensuring that it's engaging and challenging while meeting budget, quality, and operational targets. You will deliver a high quality, learner-focused education and will be expected to use specialist game art software supplying students with skills ready for industry. The successful candidate will provide a secure and friendly environment to ensure students succeed within their curriculum framework, prescribed by UAL.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in Game Art and Development, covering topics such as game design principles
- Instructing students in the use of industry-standard game development software such as Unity, Unreal Engine, Autodesk Maya, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Provide individualised support and feedback to students to enhance their learning experience
- Develop and update curriculum materials to align with industry trends and best practices
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity and innovation
- Conduct and mark assessments adhering to internal and external verification processes
- Evaluate student performance and maintain accurate records of progress
- Stay updated with the latest advancements and trends in the game development industry
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Certificate of education or PGCE
- Current and valid industry specialism
- Assessor qualifications (if required by Awarding Organisation)
- Minimum Level 3 occupational qualification
- English and maths minimum level 2, grade C or grade 4 and above
