Cover Supervisor needed at a Secondary School in Old Trafford

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our client school as a Cover Supervisor. This is a full-time position, starting after the May half term, and though it starts out as a temporary placement, depending on how a successful candidate gets on, this is an open vacancy at the school so may potentially turn into a permanent role.

The successful candidate should expect to earn up to £15.50 per hour (depending on experience). The school is situated in the heart of Old Trafford, and is a short walk away from various public transport options including bus and tram. There is also a large onsite car park that members of staff can utilise. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise students in the absence of their regular teacher
• Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a positive learning environment
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans across various subjects
• Support students with their learning and provide assistance when needed
• Liaise with teaching staff and senior leadership team as required

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively
• Flexibility and adaptability to work across different subjects and year groups
• A genuine passion for education and supporting student development
