Career Teachers are working with an Ofsted rated "Good" primary school in Chesterfield who require a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (H)LTA to cover PPA for both KS1 and KS2. This role is also suitable for Early Career/Newly Qualified Teachers. As a HLTA, you'll work closely with class teachers to ensure each child fulfils their potential. You may also support teachers in providing learning activities and cover some teachers' responsibilities, in certain situations.

To be considered for this role you will need:

  • Experience of working in both KS1 & KS2.
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills are essential to this role.
  • Flexibility is a must, due to the different classes covered throughout the day.
  • Read Write Inc/Phonics training or experience would be an advantage.

Your role will involve:

  • Creating stimulating lesson plans
  • Delivering lessons to whole classes
  • Monitoring and evaluating children's learning and development.
  • Liaising with the class teacher and TA
  • Attending CPD training courses and staff meetings
