Teaching Personnel are in need of Teaching Assistants in Dorchester & Weymouth! We are working with several schools in the area for day-to-day supply and long-term cover roles.

One school we are working with needs a Teaching Assistant for 5 days a week supporting a Year 1 class for a minimum of 2 weeks (possibility to extend). This is a great opportunity for a Teaching Assistant to gain more experience!

Responsibilities:

• Supporting Year 1 class teacher with engaging students in active learning.
• Providing a welcoming and creative environment.
• Helping with classroom behaviour management.
• Possibility of working 1:1 where required.

Skills/Experience/Qualifications:

• Experience working with children and young people.
• Safeguarding Course certificate.
• Enhanced DBS Child Only certificate on the update service. (Teaching Personnel can assist with this)

Desirable (optional):

• Knowledge & experience working with SEN pupils.
• Background working in Education/Care setting.
• Experience working with Adults with special requirements or learning difficulties.

This Role will be Monday to Friday, 5 days a week for 2 weeks initially, with high possibility for extension.
