Our client is looking for Qualified/Unqualified Early Years Nursery Practitioner to join our small and friendly team based in Longstanton. They have full and part time, permanent positions available, and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £17,888 – £23,795.20 dependent on qualification and experience.

About the role:

The successful Early Years Nursery Practitioner will have a keen and positive attitude along with excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong, encouraging relationships with children, parents, and colleagues. If you are interested in working with us, please do get in touch.

Hours: Shifts are 8 hours on a full-time contract on a rota basis between the hours of 8am – 6pm Monday to Friday

Responsibilities as an Early Years Nursery Practitioner will include:

  • Working effectively with nursery colleagues to continually develop inspirational learning opportunities for children
  • Being accountable for your own key children, including working in partnership with parents/carers
  • Being responsible for ensuring all children’s personal needs are met, including observing, planning and evaluation
  • Contributing to nursery planning
  • Fully understanding the requirements of the Early Years Foundation stage, safeguarding and child protection policies, and health and safety legislation
  • Successful applicants will be subject to our safer recruitment pre-employment process which includes an enhanced disclosure and barring service (DBS) check

What we are looking for in our Early Years Nursery Practitioner:

  • Full and relevant Early Years qualification level 2 or above or if unqualified experience of working in an Early Years/ Childcare setting.
  • Awareness and working knowledge of the EYFS.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures
  • Understanding of the Ofsted inspection framework
  • Experience of working within a team in a similar role
  • Knowledge of health and safety requirements
