Job Duties:
  • Supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in their learning and development
  • Assisting the class teacher in planning and delivering tailored lessons to meet individual needs
  • Providing one-to-one support to students with SEN to help them access the curriculum
  • Helping to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborating with other staff members and parents to ensure the best outcomes for students
Required Qualifications:
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Experience working with children with SEN
Education:
  • Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or 3)
Experience:
  • Prior experience working with children with Special Educational Needs
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Understanding of SEN support strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Patience and empathy when working with students
Preferred Qualifications:
  • First Aid certification
  • Additional training in areas related to SEN support
Working Conditions:
  • Part-Time hours, typically during school hours
  • Work primarily within a classroom setting
  • May involve some physical activity such as assisting students with mobility

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
