Tradewind are seeking a motivate, ambitious Year 4 teacher who is looking to make an impact and excel in their teaching career!

On behalf of our client school, Tradewind are currently looking to appoint an outstanding KS2 teacher who will be responsible for Year 4 class in a wonderful school located in Ashton-Under-Lyne, Tameside This is a full-time role commencing May 2024 until December 2024 at least, with the possibility of an extension, depending on your success and suitability. This role is paid to scale in line with full class teaching responsibilities, and you will be enrolled into a fantastic CPD programme with quality training delivered by experts in the education field.

This is an OFSTED rated 'Good' school which encourages high expectations of children. It has a strong child-centred approach and commitment to its core educational values and prides itself on school wide good behaviour and high academic achievement which stems from a dedicated team of staff who are passionate about their role in school.

About the Role

As the Year 4 teacher, you will be responsible for a mixed-ability class of approximately 30 children. A strong curriculum knowledge will be key to you success, as will your ability to work well independently as well as part-of a dedicated team of staff.

To be successful in this role as a Year 4 teacher, you will be required to:

- Plan and teach lessons in line with National Curriculum standards that promote engagement and achievement

-Implement creativity in learning by planning lessons around modern day society and real-life scenarios

-Be able to differentiate to meet individual needs, including supporting those on EHCPs and communicating effectively with the school SENDCo to feedback on progress

Be a great team player and liase with the class teacher to pass on feedback with regards to progress and attainment

-Uphold the morals, values and ethos of the school

-Build a positive rapport with children based on trust and respect and have high expectations of behaviour and achievement.


After visiting the school, it is clear to see that pupils are happy and keen to learn, Staff are supportive, approachable and are excited to bring in an addition to the KS2 team until at least Christmas with the potential for this post to be extended beyond this period.
