Pastoral Care Manager
Location: Coventry, UK
Position Type: Full-Time
Are you passionate about supporting the well-being and personal development of individuals within a dynamic educational environment? We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Pastoral Care Manager to join our team in Coventry starting from September.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate pastoral support to students, fostering a safe and supportive environment conducive to personal growth and academic success.
- Develop and implement effective strategies for addressing the social, emotional, and mental health needs of students.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and external agencies to identify and address student welfare concerns promptly and appropriately.
- Organize and facilitate pastoral care programs, workshops, and support groups to promote emotional resilience and well-being among students.
- Maintain accurate records of pastoral care interventions and contribute to the ongoing evaluation and improvement of pastoral support services.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Education, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Proven experience in a pastoral care or student support role, preferably within an educational setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Empathy, patience, and a non-judgmental approach to supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Sound understanding of child protection and safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and independently when required.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion within the school community.
- Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance.
