SEN Teaching Assistant
We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated team at a SEN school in Islington on a long-term supply basis.
The school caters to children with a diverse range of needs including social, emotional, mental health, and learning difficulties. Predominantly, students present with conditions such as ASD, ADHD, and attachment difficulties. With students aged between 4 and 11, the school provides a nurturing environment tailored to meet individual needs.
Key Details:
- Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
- Location: Islington, London
- Pay Rate: Competitive, £85-£95 per day
- Working Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday (term time only)
Requirements:
- Previous experience supporting students with ASD, ADHD, or SEMH
- Demonstrated ability to handle challenging behaviour in students
- Experience in both 1:1 and group settings; familiarity with interventions is advantageous
- Preferably, experience within a SEN school environment
- Collaborative approach, working under the guidance of classroom teachers to facilitate daily learning resources and plans
