Teaching Assistant – Specialising in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)


Classroom Support is representing a Primary School located in the Haringey area, actively seeking a dedicated individual for a 1:1 support role with a reception class pupil currently undergoing assessment for ASD.
We are seeking a committed long-term 1:1 Educational Support Specialist to provide sustained assistance to the pupil. This full-time, temporary position operates during term-time only, starting in April and continuing until the conclusion of the 2024 academic year. The role also offers the potential for a permanent contract in the subsequent academic year for the right candidate.


Key Requirements and Experience:
Demonstrated experience supporting students in either mainstream or Special Educational Needs (SEN) settings.
Desirable experience working with students with additional needs.
Possession of a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or higher would be advantageous.


Responsibilities:
As a Teaching Assistant, your primary duties will include providing support to individual students and small groups. Additionally, you will collaborate with the class teacher, assisting with any other necessary tasks to create an inclusive learning environment.
This fulfilling role offers a competitive daily rate ranging from £85 to £95, with working hours from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.
