Fixed term Sept 2024 to Jan 2025

At Nescot, we are recruiting for a part time fixed term English lecturer to join our English and Maths Department who is committed to putting students first.

What we are looking for:

  • Confident using google classroom
  • Relevant teaching experience of GCSE/Functional Skills English
  • Possess a teaching qualification

Duties/responsibilities:

  • Teach great lessons that enthuse and engage students
  • Deliver the assessment plan and practice of the department
  • Teach GCSE English Language to 16-18 years old students and adults
  • Teach Functional Skills English to 16–18-year-old students

Nescot is graded ‘Good’ by Ofsted following its latest inspection in January 2023. Inspectors rated the College as Good in all 8 aspects. The report recognises that students “enjoy their courses and are motivated to succeed”, and benefit from “highly supportive relationships” with staff. Safeguarding arrangements are “effective” with regular training for staff, and leaders have in place “an effective policy for safer recruitment.”
