Early Years Teaching Assistant - HAYES

Are you passionate about working with young children and making a positive impact on their early education? We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to join an outstanding school in Hayes.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging and age-appropriate lessons and activities for children aged 3 to 5.
  • Support individual students in their learning, providing guidance and assistance as needed.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters children's social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to implement the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum effectively.
  • Monitor and assess students' progress, providing feedback and reporting to the class teacher.
  • Assist with the preparation and organization of classroom materials, resources, and displays.
  • Help with the supervision of children during break times, ensuring their safety and well-being.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience working with young children, preferably in an educational setting.
  • A strong understanding of child development and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with children and create a nurturing learning environment.
  • A proactive and flexible approach, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Ideally, a relevant qualification such as a Certificate or Diploma in Early Childhood Education or a teaching assistant qualification.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
