Job Title: Qualified SEMH Teacher

Location: Newham

Salary range: £150- £210 per day

Start date: ASAP

Key Requirements:

  • Must hold a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) from the UK.
  • Experience in working with children with SEMH needs.
  • A strong understanding of the UK curriculum.
  • Excellent classroom management skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Job Responsibilities:

Deliver Engaging Lessons: Utilize your expertise to plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of students with SEMH challenges, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Build Strong Relationships: Forge meaningful connections with students, providing them with the support and guidance they need to overcome obstacles and thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Promote Positive Behaviour Management: Implement effective behaviour management strategies, promoting positive behaviour and empowering students to develop essential social and emotional skills.

Track Progress and Assessments: Monitor students' progress closely, conducting assessments and evaluations to identify areas for growth and development, and adapting teaching methods accordingly.

Collaborate with Colleagues: Work collaboratively with colleagues, including SENCOs, teaching assistants, and support staff, to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment that meets the individual needs of every student.

Ensure Safeguarding and Child Protection: Demonstrate a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection protocols, ensuring the safety and well-being of all students and complying with all necessary background checks and safer recruitment procedures.
