Position Overview:

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in supporting schools in Richmond Upon Thames by covering classes in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about education and eager to gain classroom experience. You will have the chance to work in a variety of schools, gain exposure to different teaching styles, and make a positive impact on students' learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervising classes and ensuring that students remain on task and engaged in their learning.
• Delivering pre-prepared lesson plans and activities provided by the regular classroom teacher.
• Managing classroom behavior and maintaining a positive learning environment.
• Providing support to students and assisting with any questions or concerns they may have.
• Building positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.

Requirements:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and confidently manage a classroom environment.
• Flexibility and adaptability to work in different schools and subject areas.
• A passion for education and a desire to make a difference in the lives of students.
• Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
