Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Science Teacher to join our enthusiastic team of educators. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and innovative lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and potentially 5, ensuring that all students reach their full potential and develop a passion for science.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality science lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel motivated to learn and participate.
  • Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to enhance student understanding and engagement with scientific concepts.
  • Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the ongoing improvement of the science curriculum and departmental initiatives.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to promote a culture of learning and achievement.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a degree in a relevant scientific discipline.
  • Previous experience teaching science at Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential experience at Key Stage 5 being advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and staying abreast of current educational practices and developments.
