Job Duties:

• Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons in English to secondary school students
• Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment
• Assess and evaluate student progress to provide feedback and support their development
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement educational programmes and initiatives

Required Qualifications:

• Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) 
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Knowledge and Skills:

• Solid understanding of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to effectively manage classroom dynamics and student behaviour

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

• Qualification in English Literature/Language, or related subject would be useful
• Experience working with students from troubled or disadvantaged backgrounds, who are generally at risk.
