Job Description:

Are you a passionate and dedicated educator looking for an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in a student's life? Teaching Personnel is currently seeking a Secondary Home Tutor to provide one-on-one tutoring to secondary school students in Worksop, Nottinghamshire.

As a Secondary Home Tutor, you will work closely with individual students to deliver tailored lessons that cater to their specific needs and learning styles. This role offers a unique chance to have a positive impact on a student's academic progress and overall educational experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one tutoring to secondary school students in various subjects, including but not limited to Mathematics, English, Science, and Humanities.
  • Assess the student's current level of understanding and create a customized learning plan to address their specific learning needs.
  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons that help students improve their subject knowledge and academic performance.
  • Monitor and track the student's progress, adjusting the teaching approach as needed.
  • Foster a supportive and encouraging learning environment that boosts the student's confidence and motivation.
  • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians and Teaching Personnel to provide updates on the student's progress.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in education or a relevant subject area..
  • Previous teaching or tutoring experience, especially in a one-on-one setting.
  • Full driving license or ability to travel to students homes across Worksoip
  • Strong knowledge of the secondary curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed.
  • A enhanced DBS is requied but support will be provided.
