We are seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our vibrant Supply Desk team for a Primary School in Merthyr. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the educational development of primary school students in a supportive and enriching environment.

Role Overview: As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA), you will play a crucial role in supporting the teaching and learning process within the school. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in planning and delivering lessons under the guidance of the class teacher.
  • Providing one-on-one or small group support to students who may require additional assistance.
  • Leading interventions and enrichment activities to enhance the learning experience.
  • Promoting a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Collaborating with teachers and other staff members to contribute to the school's educational goals.

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • Relevant qualifications and/or experience in education.
  • A passion for working with children and helping them reach their full potential.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service and EWC registration (or willling to apply)
  • Knowledge of the primary school curriculum and teaching methods.
