Role Overview: My client is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting teaching and learning across the school, working closely with teachers and students to facilitate a positive and enriching educational experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning, delivery, and assessment of lessons under the guidance of classroom teachers.
  • Provide individualized support to students with varying needs, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
  • Promote a positive learning environment by actively engaging with students and encouraging their participation in lessons and activities.
  • Support the implementation of strategies to promote inclusion and diversity within the school community.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to effectively meet the needs of all students.
  • Contribute to the overall ethos and development of the school, fostering a culture of respect, equality, and mutual support.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in an educational setting, preferably as a Teaching Assistant or HLTA.
  • HLTA qualification or equivalent experience and training.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents/carers.
  • A commitment to promoting inclusivity, diversity, and equality in education.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and a positive attitude towards working in a dynamic school environment.
