Learning Support Assistant

We are working to recruit on behalf of a large SEN school in Newham close to Stratford postcode E15 who are looking for experienced and qualified Learning Support Assistants.

The school is an independent, coeducational, day school which caters for students across all Key stages with EHC Plans of social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties and a range of additional learning difficulties including Autism and Moderate Learning Difficulties.

Your key duties as a Learning Support Assistant will be to:

• Support students 1:1 and on a small group basis.
• Follow IEPs.
• Manage any challenging behaviour.
• Work under the direction of the class teacher.
• Restrain as a last resort and only when necessary
• Team Teach training and in date certificate is advantageous.
• Must have a DBS on the update (online) service, or be willing to pay for a DBS.

It is essential that you have previous experience supporting pupils with SEN.

The school is set in Newham close to Stratford Station E15 postcode.

The students and staff take part in vocational studies with the workshops and wonderful classroom spaces. It is a lovely huge SEN school with fantastic facilities.
