The Role - Youth Mentor
The Youth Mentor role is for applicants available to start ASAP on a long-term role until the end of the academic year. The Youth Mentor will be confident in working with secondary learners aged 11 to 16. The Youth Mentor will be working in classroom capacity supporting the class teacher at this 2-form entry school with six learners per class. The Youth Mentor will be firm and resilient when ensuring learners are following the school policy and classroom structure. The appointed Youth Mentor will have strong behavior management skills as the role will require you to work with extremely challenging behavior. Ideally, the Youth Mentor will be educated up to degree level and have strong English and Math's skills.
The School - SEMH School
This secondary SEMH school caters to 66 learners aged 11 to 16. Most recently inspected in March 2018, the school achieved a 'Good' Ofsted rate. Located in the borough of Harrow with good transport links and staff car park. The school is part of a Trust, with plenty of career development opportunities and CPD training.
