A primary school in Enfield are looking for an experienced SEMH Teacher to join their school on a contract basis for the summer term to teach a nurture class within Key stage 2.

The Role

In this role you will be teaching a class of 6 – 8 Key stage 2 pupils with identified Social emotional and mental health needs.

The school have created this specialist provision to allow the pupils to learn in a more creative and play-based learning environment. Pupils have the chance to develop their skills in a place which fosters tolerance, confidence, understanding, independence, good behaviour and, above all; a positive attitude towards school.

The school are looking for an SEMH Teacher with experience who can be organised and have a range of ideas to engage the children and lead the class.

Behaviour can be challenging at times and you should have training and experience in managing situations of this nature. You will have a full-time teaching assistant based in the class as well as ongoing support from the senior leadership team within the school.

This role is offered on a long-term contract basis for the summer term.

This small, welcoming primary school is based in Enfield and is rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted. The school has high expectations and pupils achieve good results. As well as academic success, the school provides a range of enrichment opportunities allowing children to explore a range of hands-on learning opportunities through theme weeks. There is a committed and experienced senior leadership team in place at the school and there is a true family feel within the school for staff, pupils and families.

The school are looking for an SEMH teacher with the following:

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Experience teaching pupils with SEMH
