Post Title: KS2 Primary Teacher – SEMH.

Location: London borough of Brent

Hours: Full Time permanent (Monday-Friday) 08:30am - 4:30pm

Salary: Inner London pay scale (£36,745 (M1) to £44,615 (M5) ) + a £4,000-£5,000 (dependent on experience) internal SEN allowance to reflect our setting

You must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) to be considered for this position and have at least 2 years’ experience teaching primary students with SEMH, either within a SEND or mainstream school environment.

JDS Recruitment are currently recruiting for a full-time KS2 primary teacher to teach students with Social Emotional Mental Health difficulties within a SEND setting.

This position is based in Brent.

Easily Accessible by public transport and parking around the school.

The school has been rated Good from OFSTED.

Each class has around 4-6 students who are supported with HLTA's, teaching assistants, speech, and language & a behaviour lead.

The Class Teacher will play a key role in our small school community, this is an exciting opportunity to have a meaningful impact on the lives of children with SEMH needs. You will have a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, be resilient in working with special needs children and be passionate about helping our children achieve their full potential.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher wanting to take an active role in developing trauma aware teaching, positive education, and wellbeing practices to manage a child's stress response.

These roles will require a talented and experienced primary teacher who are flexibleenthusiastic, and dedicated to teaching pupils to achieve their full potential, while remaining engaged in their learning

  • Be confident with a strong background teaching students with SEMH.
  • Have excellent timekeeping.
  • Ables to use own initiative.
  • 100% attendance
  • Great interest in making a difference.
  • Act as a great role model for the learners.
  • Passion for supporting children with SEND including SEMH and mental health difficulties.

This role will be to start immediately subject to clear enhanced DBS and referencing checks.
