The Role:

As a KS1 Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the learning experiences of our young students. Working as the head of the classroom, you will facilitate engaging and immersive lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of KS1 learners. Your role will involve creating a nurturing environment where children feel supported and inspired to explore and learn.

Ideal Candidate:

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual with a genuine passion for teaching and nurturing young minds. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a creative approach to lesson planning. With a focus on fostering academic and personal growth, you will be dedicated to supporting children's development and well-being.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the KS1 classroom, creating a stimulating and supportive learning environment for young learners.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the individual needs and interests of students, ensuring their academic progress and personal development.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, promoting a collaborative and inclusive approach to learning.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support to facilitate their growth and development.
  • Support children with additional needs, including those on the autism spectrum, by providing tailored interventions and support strategies.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience working within the Key Stage 1 (KS1) curriculum.
  • Strong understanding of child development and effective teaching methodologies for young learners.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate young children.
  • Patience, empathy, and a compassionate approach to supporting children's emotional and social well-being.
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs, including autism spectrum disorders, is desirable.
