A thrilling opportunity awaits passionate individuals in Edmonton to become a Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant with intervention experience. This role promises to make a meaningful impact by supporting children’s learning and helping them overcome challenges.

Role Overview:

The Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant will assume a crucial role in supporting the classroom teacher and delivering targeted interventions to children facing learning difficulties, including those preparing for SATS. Intervention experience will be pivotal in guiding children to surmount obstacles and realize their full potential.

Responsibilities:

  • Seamlessly collaborate with the classroom teacher to establish a nurturing and inclusive learning environment conducive to engagement and academic achievement.
  • Lead small group interventions tailored to children encountering various challenges, such as dyslexia, dyscalculia, EAL, and more.
  • Offer personalized support and guidance during interventions, adapting activities to cater to individual needs and learning preferences.
  • Assist in implementing effective teaching strategies and interventions to bolster children’s progress and attainment, especially in SATS preparation.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, fostering a culture of collaboration and support.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Prior experience working with children in an educational setting, preferably within Key Stage 2 or upper primary levels.
  • Demonstrated expertise in delivering targeted interventions and aiding children with additional needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with the ability to establish rapport with children and work harmoniously within a team.
  • Possesses empathy, patience, and an unwavering commitment to supporting children’s learning and growth.

Location and Hours:

Situated in the vibrant community of Edmonton, our school offers a warm and inclusive atmosphere where every child is valued and supported. This full-time position entails working hours from 8:15 am to 3:30 pm, presenting an exciting opportunity to positively impact children’s lives.
