We are seeking a dedicated Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant with intervention experience to join our supportive team. Role Overview:

As a Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the classroom teacher and providing targeted interventions for children who may be facing difficulties in their learning journey. Your intervention experience will be invaluable in helping children overcome obstacles and reach their full potential.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the classroom teacher to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that fosters growth and development.
  • Facilitate small group interventions for children struggling with various challenges, such as dyslexia, dyscalculia, English as an Additional Language (EAL), and more.
  • Provide personalized support and guidance to children during interventions, tailoring activities to their individual needs and learning styles.
  • Assist the teacher in implementing effective teaching strategies and interventions to support children’s progress and achievement.
  • Build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, fostering a supportive and collaborative learning community.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience working with young children, preferably within Key Stage 1 or early years settings.
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering targeted interventions and supporting children with additional needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development.

Location and Hours:

Located in the heart of Edmonton, our school offers a welcoming and inclusive environment where every child is valued and supported. This full-time role provides an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on children’s lives, with working hours from 8:15 am to 3:30 pm.
