Role Overview:

As a full-time KS1 Teacher, you'll lead a class of young learners through their foundational years of education, nurturing their curiosity and instilling a love for learning. With a deep understanding of the UK curriculum, particularly in English and Maths, you'll design engaging lessons that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of your students. Proficiency in ESOL or TEFL is highly advantageous, as you'll support children who may be English as an Additional Language (EAL) or English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) learners.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead your KS1 class with enthusiasm and creativity, creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment where every child feels valued and encouraged.
  • Develop and deliver dynamic lessons that ignite curiosity and promote academic growth, ensuring each student receives the support they need to excel.
  • Collaborate closely with teaching assistants and support staff to provide targeted interventions and support for students requiring additional assistance.
  • Foster strong partnerships with parents and caregivers, maintaining open communication and involvement in students' educational journeys.
  • Assess students' progress and development, utilizing a range of assessment strategies to inform planning and differentiation.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Prior experience as a KS1 Teacher, with a passion for early childhood education and a thorough understanding of the KS1 curriculum.
  • Strong proficiency in English and Maths, with the ability to deliver engaging and effective lessons that lay the foundation for future learning.
  • Certification in ESOL or TEFL is highly desirable, enhancing your ability to support students from diverse linguistic backgrounds.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.

Location and Hours:

Situated in Finchley, our school offers modern facilities and a supportive learning environment where both students and staff thrive. This full-time position operates from 8:15 am to 3:30 pm, providing ample opportunities to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young learners.
