Role Overview:

As a full-time Specialist SEN Teaching Assistant, the chosen candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health Needs (SEMH) in either Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2. Working closely with classroom educators, they will provide tailored support and guidance to help students overcome obstacles and flourish emotionally and academically.

Responsibilities:

  • Build strong rapport and trust with students, providing 1-1 support to address social, emotional, and mental health challenges.
  • Collaborate closely with classroom educators to develop and implement personalized strategies and interventions, fostering positive growth and well-being.
  • Cultivate a nurturing and inclusive learning environment, prioritizing the social and emotional well-being of every student.
  • Engage students in enriching activities and discussions, promoting self-awareness, resilience, and positive relationships.
  • Foster strong partnerships with parents, guardians, and fellow professionals, ensuring a holistic and collaborative approach to student support.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience working with children in an educational setting, particularly in either Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2.
  • Demonstrated expertise in supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health Needs (SEMH), showcasing adaptability and empathy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering seamless collaboration with teaching staff, parents, and stakeholders.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the individual needs of students' social, emotional, and mental well-being.

Location and Hours:

Situated in Finchley, our school offers convenient access to public transportation links via Tube and Bus routes. This full-time position operates from 8:15 am to 3:30 pm, providing ample opportunities to make a positive impact on students' lives.
