Setting: Mainstream Primary School

Pay rate: £80 - £90 per day (Depending on experience)

Working hours: 8:15am - 4:00pm (Term time only)

Active Recruitment are working closely with a very reputable mainstream Primary school in Harlow, who are looking for an Early Years SEN Teaching Assistant to join them as soon as possible on a long-term basis, with the view to go permanent. In this role, you will be working closely with young children across the early years foundation stage with additional needs (ASD/SEMH). You will be part of making a real change to a student's life - which can be extremely rewarding.

The successful EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant must:

• Have recent experience within a similar role.
• Have a good working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
• Be passionate about working with SEN pupils
• Be able to modify approach depending on pupils individual needs
• Be able to inspire and motive those that need additional support
• Be passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people

Key responsibilities for your role:

• Working with specific children across Early Years that require extra help and target support, depending on their needs
• Leading sessions outside of the classroom with children both 1-1 and small groups
• Working alongside other professionals to assess children including writing EHCPs
• Working with other teaching staff to design the best strategies to meet a pupil’s needs.
