Position Overview: As a Key Stage 2 Teacher, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to students in the appropriate year group. You will inspire a love for learning, foster intellectual curiosity, and empower students to reach their full potential. If you are applying for a Year 6 role, some experience with SATs preparation will be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons aligned with the Key Stage 2 curriculum, catering to the diverse needs and abilities of students in your class.
  • Utilize innovative teaching strategies, resources, and technology to create dynamic learning experiences that promote academic progress and attainment.
  • Implement effective assessment practices to monitor student progress, provide timely feedback, and support individualized learning goals.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued, respected, and supported in their learning journey.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external stakeholders to promote student achievement, well-being, and positive behavior.
  • If applying for a Year 6 role, provide support and guidance to prepare students for SATs examinations, ensuring they are well-equipped and confident to excel.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification recognized in the UK.
  • Proven experience working with Key Stage 2 students in an educational setting, demonstrating a deep understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum and effective teaching methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • If applying for a Year 6 role, experience with SATs preparation and assessment strategies will be beneficial.
