Position Overview: We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated EYFS Teacher to join a vibrant school community in Hendon, London. This role involves teaching a class in either Reception or Nursery, providing a supportive and stimulating learning environment for young children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum Delivery: Plan and deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate lessons in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, fostering children’s curiosity and love for learning.
  • Child-Centred Approach: Implement child-centred teaching strategies that cater to the individual needs and interests of each child, promoting holistic development across all areas of learning.
  • Play-Based Learning: Create opportunities for hands-on, play-based learning experiences that encourage exploration, creativity, and social interaction among children.
  • Assessment and Progress Monitoring: Conduct ongoing assessments and observations to track children’s progress and inform planning, providing regular feedback to parents and stakeholders.
  • Partnership with Parents: Establish positive partnerships with parents and families, facilitating open communication and collaboration to support children’s learning and development at home and in the school community.
  • Inclusive Practice: Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that celebrates diversity, respects children’s individual identities, and promotes equality of opportunity for all learners.

Qualities of the Ideal Candidate:

  • Passion for Early Childhood Education: Demonstrate a genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their early learning and development.
  • Creativity and Adaptability: Be creative, innovative, and adaptable in planning and delivering engaging learning experiences that meet the diverse needs of children.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Reflective Practitioner: Engage in reflective practice and professional development to continually enhance teaching practice and contribute to the ongoing improvement of the EYFS provision.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Hold QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification recognised in the UK.
  • Enhanced DBS Clearance: Have an Enhanced DBS Check on the Child Only Barred List, or be willing to undergo the necessary checks prior to employment.
  • Experience in EYFS: Ideally, have previous experience teaching in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and a sound understanding of the EYFS framework.
