Role Overview:

As a Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant, the successful candidate will collaborate closely with the accomplished classroom educators to deliver targeted support and intervention sessions for students in Lower and Upper Key Stage 2. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Supporting the implementation of tailored learning plans and innovative teaching methodologies to meet the unique needs of individual students.
  2. Cultivating an inclusive and supportive learning environment that prioritizes the social and emotional well-being of every Key Stage 2 student.
  3. Engaging students actively in stimulating classroom activities and intervention sessions designed to enrich their educational experience.
  4. Collaborating effectively with teachers, parents, and fellow professionals to build strong partnerships and ensure a holistic approach to student development.

Ideal Candidate Qualities:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Proven experience working with older children in an educational setting, specifically within Key Stage 2.
  • Specialized experience in taking intervention classes for both Lower and Upper Key Stage 2 students.
  • A profound understanding of special educational needs and adaptability in implementing effective teaching approaches.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate seamlessly with teaching staff, parents, and stakeholders.
  • Kindness, compassion, patience, and empathy towards students with diverse learning needs.
