The Role - 1-1 SEN Teaching Assistant
For this role you will be supporting Autistic pupils aged between 5-11 years old. They will require you to work 1-1 with a pupil that will be assigned to you at interview stage. The pupils can be quite challenging at times so you would need to be quite resilient. You will be assisting with the academic side of their development as well as their day to day life development. On your trial day you will be introduced to each class and at the end of the day discuss with the headteacher which would be the best fit.
The School - SEN School
This is a brand new SEN school for pupils with Autism. The school is part of the UK's leading SEN group which offers additional training to staff, for clinical roles as well as teaching roles. If you are taken on as a permanent member of staff, after 6 weeks of employment you are entititled for 4 day working weeks but paid for 5! There is parking on site and the school is a short walk to the station and town centre.
