Are you a skilled Science Technician with a passion for Physics? Twenty4Seven Education is currently seeking a dedicated individual to join a vibrant secondary school in South Birmingham as a Science Technician with a Physics specialism.

Role Overview: As a Science Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the science department by ensuring the smooth running of practical lessons, particularly focusing on Physics. This is a full-time position, with working hours either from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm or 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, offering a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in education support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and maintenance of laboratory equipment and resources for Physics experiments.
  • Assisting teaching staff during practical lessons, ensuring a safe and efficient learning environment.
  • Managing inventory and ordering supplies as necessary.
  • Supporting students with their experiments and investigations.
  • Adhering to health and safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
  • Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Science Technician within a school environment, with a specific focus on Physics.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to undergo a new application.
  • A genuine enthusiasm for supporting students' learning experiences.
