Manual Handling Teaching Assistant
Working as part of the Moving and Handling team to plan, prepare and deliver assigned programme of support so students can safely move around the school sites and effectively access the school curriculum, under the supervision of the Moving and Handling Lead / SLT. The school specializes in pupils with severe and complex learning difficulties for pupils between 3-19 years old.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Prepare and deliver assigned programmes of support to individuals and groups under the overall direction and supervision of the Moving and Handling Lead. Assess, record and report on development, progress and attainment.
2. Liaise with staff and other relevant professionals and provide information about pupils as appropriate.
3. Use teaching and learning objectives to plan, evaluate and adjust lessons/work plans as appropriate within agreed systems of supervision.
4. Assess the needs of pupils and use knowledge and specialist skills to support pupils' learning.
