Teaching Assistant
We are recruiting for a dedicated alternative provision who provide tailored support and education for secondary-aged students facing challenges within a mainstream school setting. They are committed to creating a positive and nurturing environment that allows students to thrive academically and personally. As part of our mission to empower young individuals, we are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join the team.
As a Teaching Assistant here, you will play a vital role in supporting students with a range of needs, including behavioural challenges, emotional difficulties, and other barriers to learning. You will work closely with teaching staff to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment, fostering the academic and personal development of our students.

* Start ASAP
* Temporary, long term role
* Full time, Monday-Friday 8:45am-16:00pm (5pm finish on Wednesdays)

Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, both inside and outside the classroom.
* Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs).
* Support classroom teachers in managing behaviour and creating an engaging and positive learning atmosphere.
* Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging their personal and academic growth.
* Collaborate with the wider educational team, including special education needs coordinators (SENCOs) and external agencies, to ensure a holistic approach to student support.
* Provide guidance and support during extracurricular activities and school events.
