Our client are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Industry Placement Officer to join their dynamic team, focusing on T-Levels and BTEC courses.

As an Industry Placement Officer, you will play a pivotal role in establishing and maintaining effective partnerships between educational institutions and industry stakeholders, ensuring the successful integration of students into real-world work environments.

Responsibilities:

Partnership Development:

Cultivate and strengthen relationships with local and regional businesses to secure high-quality industry placement opportunities for T-Levels and BTEC students.

Collaborate with employers to understand their needs and requirements for student placements, ensuring a mutually beneficial partnership.

Student Placement Coordination:

Facilitate the placement process, including student selection, orientation, and ongoing support during the placement period.

Work closely with academic staff to align industry placements with the curriculum, ensuring students gain relevant and practical experience.

Monitoring and Evaluation:

Establish mechanisms for tracking and evaluating the success of industry placements, collecting feedback from both students and employers.

Analyse placement outcomes and identify areas for improvement, implementing strategies to enhance the overall effectiveness of the program.

Compliance and Documentation:

Ensure compliance with industry placement guidelines and standards set by regulatory bodies.

Maintain accurate records of placements, including documentation of agreements, student progress reports, and any relevant assessments.

Communication and Promotion:

Act as a liaison between educational institutions, students, and industry partners, fostering open communication channels.

Develop and implement strategies to promote the benefits of industry placements, encouraging increased participation from both students and employers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (education, business, or related discipline).
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within the education sector or industry partnerships.
  • Strong understanding of T-Levels, BTEC courses, and the broader vocational education landscape.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.

Relationship Building: Ability to establish and maintain strong partnerships with employers, educators, and students.

Project Management: Proficient in coordinating multiple industry placements, ensuring smooth implementation and delivery.

Knowledgeable: Stay abreast of industry trends, education policies, and workforce requirements to continually improve the placement program.
