Role: Science Technician

Location: Leeds

Qualiteach is currently looking for an experienced science technician for a mainstream secondary school based within the Leeds area.  The role is due to begin asap and will continue on an ongoing basis, 5 days per week until the summer.

Ideally you will have worked as a science technician within a school, academy or college previously, but the school are happy to consider applicants with a strong science background with industry experience and recent science graduates with a passion for science.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Setting up and clearing away the equipment
  • Assisting the science teacher with practical science experiments
  • Ensuring all aspects of health & safety are adhered to
  • Stock control
  • Ensuring all equipment is safe and stored safely
  • Supporting the science department and head of science as and when required

Key Requirements:

  • Right to work in the UK
  • Enhanced DBS certificate on the update service
  • Able to start immediately and commit on a long-term basis

The school are looking for someone with a real passion for science who can actively support the department.  You will be tenacious, adaptable with immaculate attention to detail.
